THE NBR EXTENSION METHOD

NBR is a luxury extension method that uses small aluminum beads and thread to create a healthy foundation. It has less points of contact than other extension methods. The hair is custom colored to blend seamlessly with your hair, unlike most other methods where the hair is swatched to match. The hand-tied hair is extremely thin at the weft, allowing stylists to layer multiple wefts creating beautiful customized color, but also keeps the rows extremely light. This method is the healthiest of all methods because of the minimal points of contact to the natural hair.

HAND-TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS


ISLA Hand-Tied hair is a weft-type of Remy hair used in the NBR method. “Remy” means all hair is facing the same direction, helping prevent matting and tangling, as each strand remains flowing in the same direction. The Remy hair line is known for it’s high-quality, with the life-span of the hair lasting significantly longer than other brands. This hair line is most sought-after by industry professionals and sold exclusively to NBR certified artists.

WHat your visit will look like

•CONSULTATION & BOOKING

We will start with your initial consultation to make sure NBR is for you. We will discuss your hair history, hair extension experience, and expectations. We will go over your first initial cost and maintenance cost. Moving forward with your appointment, you will be asked for a 50% retainer fee. This amount will be applied to your services the day of your appointment.

•COLOR & BEAD APPLICATION

We began by coloring your natural hair to match the extensions, creating a seamless blend. (Color is included in initial cost) We then custom color the extensions themselves, using 2-5 different colors to make it a perfect match. From there, the process includes sectioning the hair and applying the bead and string to your natural hair. This builds a secure foundation for the weft installation, making this method the most comfortable and the safest.

•HAIR EXTENSION & INSTALLATION

Once the foundation is secured, the ISLA hand-tied hair weft is sewn onto the string in between each bead. Because ISLA hair is such low profile, the wefts lay closely to the scalp comfortably, making it easy to style your hair up or down.

Extension MAINTENANCE


NBR maintenance appointment is scheduled every six to eight weeks to ensure the safety and comfort of each client. At the appointment, the maintenance includes removal and re-installation of the NBR hair extensions, mirroring the very first installation. Color touch-up is also included in extension maintenance. Maintenance appointments are required.

HOW DO I KNOW NBR IS RIGHT FOR ME?


Natrual beaded row extensions are suitable for a wide range of hair types. Including straight, natural, wavy, and curly hair.We will access your hair and determine if this method is suitable for you. NBR is the safest extension method in the beauty industry.

HOW LONG DO EXTENSIONS LAST?


With proper care, Isla hair can last 9-12 months. Proper care consist of how much heat, number of washes, and not letting your hair get matted. As long as you take proper care of your hair, you should be able to get the full 12 months out of your investment.


CAN YOU WASH, BRUSH, & STYLE YOUR HAIR?


Absolutely! You can blow dry your hair or let your hair air dry, then style like normal. These extensions will not pull loose as long as you are using a flexible bristle brush.

WILL NBR DAMAGE MY NATURAL HAIR?


When installed and maintained correctly, NBR should not cause damage to your natural hair. It’s crucial to work with a skilled stylist who understands the proper installation and removal techniques.

HOW MANY ROWS DO I NEED?


Depending on the desired look, length, and volume you are going for will depend on how many rows you need. Typically if you are looking for volume only, you can get away with one row. If you are looking for length and volume, you would do two rows.

HOW LONG DOES THE INSTALLATION PROCESS TAKE?


The installation process for NBR extensions can vary depending on the desired look and amount of hair being added. On average it takes around 2-5 hours.


ARE THE EXTENSIONS COMFORTABLE TO WEAR?


Yes, NBR extensions are designed to be lightweight and comfortable to wear. The beads use in the installation process are small and discreet, allowing for a comfortable and natural feel.


CAN I USE SUNSCREEN?


It is VERY important to use a sunscreen that does not have the active

ingredient

AVOBENZONE in it.

These will turn your hair a pinkish/orange color and you will have to purchase new hair.
